Car Rental Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

• “Company” refers to Lumineers Cars by Mirage Garage Pte Ltd.
• “Hirer” refers to the individual or entity renting the vehicle.
• “Vehicle” refers to the car rented by the Hirer.

2. Hirer/Driver Requirements

The Hirer and any additional drivers must:

• Be 21 years old and above with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• For Singaporean Residents: Produce original Singapore NRIC, a valid Singapore driving licence, and employment details upon vehicle collection.
• For Foreigners: Produce an original passport or relevant permit, a valid foreign driving licence (in English or an international driving permit), and employment details (if applicable).
• A foreigner may drive in Singapore with a valid foreign licence for up to 12 months; after this period, a Singapore driving licence is required.
• Only authorised drivers are insured to operate the rental vehicle.

3. Rates

• All prices are quoted in Singapore dollars.
• Rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis. The minimum rental duration is 1 day on weekdays and 2 days on weekends.

4. Malaysia Drive

• All vehicles can be driven into West Malaysia with an additional surcharge of $50 per calendar day and a refundable deposit of $500.
• Towing services will be provided in the event of a breakdown or accident in Malaysia; however, no replacement vehicle will be provided. Cost of Towing will be bear by the Hirer.

5. Fuel

• The Hirer must return the vehicle with the fuel level at the same point as at collection. Any fuel shortage will incur a charge of $50 per 1/4 tank.
• Vehicles must be refuelled with a minimum of 95 Octane petrol (or 98 Octane for Premium Continental) or Diesel Euro 5.

6. Mileage

• There is no mileage cap for rentals.

7. Payment

• Payment to be made in full within 24 hours to secure the booking.
• Payment can be made using major credit cards (Mastercard and Visa), PayNow.
• If payment to made in Cash, please inform the Company in advance.

8. Deposit

• A refundable deposit of $500 is required for monthly rentals and $1,000 for Continental car rentals.

9. Self-Collection and Return of Vehicle

• The Hirer may collect/return the vehicle during our office hours:
• Weekdays (Mon to Fri): 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Saturdays: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Sundays/Public Holidays: Closed

10. Optional Add-Ons

• Child Seat: $10 per day / $150 per month
• Additional Driver (3rd driver onwards): $5 per day / $50 per month
• Hirers must ensure that any optional add-ons are requested at the time of booking.

11. Cashcard for ERP and Parking

• Hirers are reminded to purchase and insert a Cashcard into the In-Vehicle Unit (IU) for ERP gantry and carpark entry.

12. Fines and Notices

• The Hirer is responsible for all fines, penalties, and summons incurred during the rental period in Singapore and Malaysia.

13. Advance Booking

• The Hirer may book a vehicle up to 90 days in advance.
• Lumineers Cars reserves the right to assign a similar vehicle in the event that the booked vehicle becomes unavailable.

14. Cancellation Policy

• No refunds will be provided for any cancellations.
• During festive or peak rental periods, deposits will be forfeited upon cancellation.
• The Company reserves the right to cancel reservations or not execute the Rental Agreement for its own reasons, in which case the reservation deposit will be refunded.

15. No Show

• If the booked vehicle is not collected at the agreed time, all hire charges paid will be forfeited.

16. Governing Law

• These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.

17. Amendments

• The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Hirer are encouraged to review the terms periodically.
